Women's Ministry and Women's Missionary Union
Women's Ministry Team & Sheila Shoemaker

Women's Ministry at Southside Baptist Church

Our mission is to befriend women and give them a place to belong so they will believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and we are committed to growing personally and helping other women become more like Him.

"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds,
not giving up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one
another -- and all the more as you see the Day approaching."   Hebrews 10:24-25

Evening and Morning Bible Studies will resume in Late Summer and Early Fall.  Check on the website and on the weekly bulletin for more information.

The Handwork for Heaven ministry needs old towels for the Operation Christmas Child project.   Place these in the tub provided near Room 120.   Thank you.

The next   Handwork for Heaven will be:

March 13, 2018 -- 9 AM - 3 PM. --  We will be making feminine sanitary pads for placement in the Operation Christmas Child boxes for the older girls.

Who We Are and What We Do

Women's Missionary Union assists churches in developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy of missions in order that a church can fulfill its total mission in the world. Woman’s Missionary Union challenges Christian believers to understand and be radically involved in the mission of God.

Women’s Ministry Team offers opportunities for women to grow and serve others as an extension of the WMU mission. Examples include: Bible Studies, Handwork for Heaven, Fellowship, Card Encouragement, Music Encouragement, Community Resource Guide, Children's Activity Bags, and women’s link to the church webpage. Beside each person’s name is her primary task as a part of their mission.

Both provide opportunities to become involved within the church aand women are encouraged to participate.   The WMU and Women's Ministry  work collaboratively  in their mission work in the church, community, state, nation, and world.
